Water that is to be purified comes from many sources.To meet drinking water standards, the water must be treated before it can be used for its intended purpose. Flocculants and coagulants are used to remove suspended solids from the water, activated carbons are also used in conjunction to remove organic materials and odour, especially if the water source has high organic contents.
