In our region, major natural gas fields are being discovered and they are being used as an alternate fuel source in many industrial applications. Mercury is one of the main contaminants found in natural gas, which has to be removed from the gas stream before it can be used by consumers. Activated carbons and molecular sieves adsorbents are frequently used within the purification of natural gas.
